We are recruiting for the position of Front Office Manager. This role manages the activities of the Reception and Concierge to ensure an excellent guest experience at Hotel Le Calette. We are looking for people who are highly motivated to be part of a dynamic, stimulating and professional environment. The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, passion and dedication to ensure the best delivery of customer services and Reception activities according to the quality standards of Hotel Le Calette. This role responds to a wide variety of guest requests, carefully assessing questions and needs, and adding personal tips and touches to achieve maximum customer satisfaction.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Directs Reception and Concierge activities to ensure communication and follow up of any requests or special requirements from guests
  • He trains the Reception and Concierge and Switchboard staff, schedules their shifts and assesses their performance
  • He/she examines the daily arrivals to ensure that bookings are handled correctly
  • He/she sets up guest check-in and check-out procedures according to the operational standards of Hotel Le Calette in an effective and efficient manner
  • Uses various computer systems to retrieve and update room reservations and to process daily reports
  • Provides all information in an accurate and timely manner, both offline and online, regarding Hotel services and activities, opening hours, contact personnel, directions etc.
  • Updates guests’ preferences on the management programme, e.g. comments on special occasions, room cleaning times, food information etc.
  • Collaborates with the Executive Housekeeper by giving feedback on guest requests, indicating any priorities and/or changes in room assignments
  • Intervenes in all matters relating to the safety, security, satisfaction and welfare of guests and hotel employees when the Executive Housekeeper is unavailable. Responds quickly and effectively to any emergency situation
  • Ensures compliance with all financial procedures, credit policies and outstanding invoice balances. Reviews all payments, advances, discounts, cash fund disbursements and direct invoices. Reviews cashiers’ work at end of shift to ensure all transactions are reconciled with proper approvals and turned over to the administrative office
  • Reviews and monitors shifts of staff in other departments of responsibility to ensure continuity in meeting guest needs according to Hotel standards
  • Other duties as assigned

Competencies:

  • Excellent writing and communication skills in English and Italian (knowledge of other languages is a plus)
  • Mastery of digital technologies and computer systems, ability to learn the use of different software and accurately enter information into systems

  • Ability to set priorities, organise work within the team and ensure that it is carried out in the right timeframe
  • Good problem solving and stress management skills

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the same role in 5* hotels
  • Candidates with a degree in tourism/economics or a similar field are preferred
  • Mastery of property management systems, preferably Scrigno

We are recruiting for the position of Front Desk Receptionist, the ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal and communication skills. This role responds to a wide variety of guest requests by accurately assessing the guest needs and requests while adding personal recommendations and touches to achieve maximum customer satisfaction.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Welcome and register hotel guests
  • Give guests all information regarding hotel facilities, hours of operation, key personnel, special activities and functions in the hotel
  • Arrange luggage to be delivered to guest room
  • Issue keys, explaining method of payment, upselling, maintaining balanced bank
  • Utilize the guest history programme to ensure maximum accuracy and recognition
  • Update guest special preferences such as special occasion comments, high floor requests, housekeeping preferences, dietary restrictions etc.
  • Handle guest inquiries and requests in person, by telephone, via email or our social media chats
  • Utilize the computer system in retrieving and updating room reservations
  • Manage the inventory and allocating rooms to incoming and future reservations
  • Communicate housekeeping what rooms are needed to be prioritized, or any room allocation changes
  • Other duties as assigned

We are recruiting for the Waiter position to join our dynamic Food & Beverage team. We are looking for someone with enthusiasm and dedication in serving our guests.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Describe the selection of food & beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting and vivid descriptions of each item, origin, taste and preparation methods
  • Communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen
  • Check completed kitchen orders with the guest’s original order
  • Coordinate food timings
  • Transport items to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality
  • Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, offer suggestions and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests
  • Breakdown, clean and set-up of tables, buffets and food stations as well as the back-of-house areas
  • Assist with food & beverage service throughout hotel, guest rooms, meal periods, special events etc.
  • Assist colleagues within the department to complete other duties (i.e. food running, clearing, cleaning, mise-en-place, polishing equipment etc.)

We are recruiting for the position of Housekeeping Room Attendant. This role is an integral part of the Housekeeping Team who collectively ensures greater attention to detail and provide our guests and members the comfort of a relaxing and restful stay at the hotel. The Room Attendant is responsible for the highest standards of cleanliness of the guest rooms and suites at the hotel and should provide impeccable service at all times.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Read and understand the work report/room assignment sheet
  • Pick up and ensure housekeeping cleaning caddy is adequately and properly stocked
  • Clean, dust, sanitize and supply (including amenities) all areas of the guest rooms (including bathrooms) assigned daily, according to procedures. Make bed, vacuum the floors, clean marble and tile areas. Remove rooms service trays, dishes and carts
  • Restock used amenities such as shampoo, lotions, cotton balls, stationery and pens
  • Respond to guest cleaning requests, such as extra towels
  • Handle a “Do Not Disturb” room and any call backs
  • Assist with responsibilities and duties in the absence or heavy volume in the areas of lobby attendant and house attendant
  • Keep corridors clean, neat and free of debris in all assigned areas
  • Other duties as assigned
